Old Market (Mercado Viejo)
Old Market (Mercado Viejo) Review
Two blocks south of the Parque Central is Heredia's Old Market, which has fewer souvenirs for sale than San José's Mercado Central but is less cramped and safer. On the next block to the southeast is the New Market (Mercado Nuevo), which holds dozens of sodas (simple restaurants).
