Hotel Canciones del Mar Review

The poetically named "Songs of the Sea" is a tranquil, intimate, and charming hotel with rooms that are among the closest to the ocean of any hotel in the area. Tastefully and individually decorated, the one- and two-bedroom suites are in a two-story cream-color building, with well-equipped kitchens. Five ocean-view rooms cost a bit more, but the rest have porches overlooking the lush gardens and blue-tile pool. Breakfast and drinks can be enjoyed under a thatch roof next to the beach or in the shade of palms on the beach itself, whereas the rooftop tapas bar is a great spot to watch the sunset. A communal tree house-like space behind the pool makes a pleasant reading or relaxing spot.
