Fodor's Review

Hidden from public view behind high walls and a large fortress-style wooden door, intimate Casa Mia (formerly Casa Pura Vida) underwent major renovations in 2011, transforming it into the best property in Playa Hermosa. Elegant and secluded, the two-story, Spanish-style building has seven rooms and one apartment with a kitchen, ocean view, and private balcony. Ground floor rooms open onto a patio with a small green tile pool and lounge area. The beach is just across a

bare lawn with a lovely garden terrace ideal for weddings. Perks such as filtered water, a fully equipped communal kitchen, a grill area by the pool, and attentive owners who live on-site make this a homey place to stay.
