Fodor's Review

Colorado native Adrienne Pellizzari first came to Manuel Antonio in 1993 on a summer vacation, but it was her quest for good coffee and cuisine that made her stay. In the end, she created her own milagro (miracle) blend, making this cozy café the only place in town that serves its own fresh-roasted coffee. The eclectic menu is heavy on vegetarian and organic dishes, like chilled avocado soup, mango chayote salad, and grilled vegetables with quinoa. They also serve

pulled pork on corn cakes and dorado with a Caribbean salsa. The breakfast burritos, baked goods, and inventive selection of sandwiches make this a top breakfast and lunch spot. Tables on the front porch overlook the road, but there's also seating in the back garden. At the time of writing, the owners were looking to open a second location at the marina in Quepos.
