Book NowTango Mar Resort Review
Colorful villas are scattered across 150-acres that include a small 9-hole golf course, exuberant gardens, tropical forests, and stunning Playa Quitzales, a beach lined with coconut palms and lush foliage. (This idyllic resort south of Tambor was featured on the TV series Temptation Island.) There is a large rock reef just offshore, and an impressive waterfall on the beach a short hike away. Brightly colored villas with two to five bedrooms and ample porches overlook the beach. Smaller suites are housed in raised octagonal wooden bungalows with whirlpool tubs and ocean views. The standard rooms are in a three-story concrete building that is a stone's throw from the surf. Two restaurants serve Costa Rican and Continental cuisine. On-site activities include snorkeling, horseback riding, hiking through a private nature reserve, and golf (greens fee $20). They also offer a dozen tours to nearby attractions, as well as sportfishing excursions.
