A spot nestled behind a rock formation at the edge of the forest has one of the best sunset views in town, making this a great choice for cocktails and appetizers. The tapas range from sashimi and grilled tuna and mahimahi to fajitas. Such Costa Rican favorites as frijolitos blancos (white beans stewed with chicken) and chicharrones con yuca (fried pork and cassava root) are also available. The kitchen offers half a dozen full dinners, including larger cuts
of fish, and some rice and pasta dishes, and is willing to turn any of the tapas dishes into a full meal. At the other end of the day, this is one of the few restaurants around that serves breakfast, and you can expect hearty offerings to get you through the morning. Live Latin music kicks off at sunset from December through March.

Although I had many great meals in Costa Rica, I can unreservedly say that this was the best of all. The location was absolutely spectacular - the restaurant commands a beautiful view of the hill, the beach and the ocean and the sunset view was breathtaking. Our waitress even suggested that we move to a nearby table from the seats we had chosen so that we would get a better view of the sunset (and she was right!). The staff was extremely friendly,
and the food was simply delicious. A few of the waitresses didn't speak much English, but that wasn't much of a problem at all. Best of all, 6 drinks, 3 appetizers and 2 main dishes later, our bill was only $76!
