Villas de la Selva Review

Comfortable but basic accommodations of varying size cling to a steep hillside and have great views of the ocean. Three especially airy rooms, each with its own color scheme, kitchenette, and ample terrace, are perched on a cliff facing the sea. There's also a casita that fits six people. Don't expect a lot of style—rooms lack character (and often hot water), but considering the location and rates compared with similar properties, they are not a bad deal. A 300-meter trail leads from the property to the beach. Unlike traditional hotels, this place does not have a reception area or bellhop, so be prepared to carry your own luggage down (and eventually up) a long flight of stairs. Hilltop rooms have better views.
