Fodor's Review

One of Montezuma's most scenic restaurants, Ylang Ylang is nestled between the beach and the jungle offering views of waves crashing against the rocks. The lunch menu—a selection of sushi, salads, wraps, and sandwiches—is similar to the owners' restaurant in town at El Sano Banano, but the ocean view and elegant terrace setting make it worth the 10-minute walk down the beach. The inventive dinner menu ranges from a Thai-style teriyaki tuna steak to penne in a seafood

sauce. There are also various vegan and raw live dishes. Whatever you choose, you'll want to save room for one of the scrumptious desserts, such as the tiramisu espresso crepe. At night, they can provide transportation from town if you make a reservation earlier in the day at the Sano Banano.
