The turquoise buildings at this friendly though basic hotel house small rooms with queen beds, pineapple-print interiors, kitchenettes, and large windows with views of the ubiquitous tropical foliage. Suites are a bit larger and have two queen beds and a walk-in closet. Light sleepers should request a room on the first floor since pounding rain and falling fruit on the tin roof can be noisy. Mosaic tile pathways, inlaid with dolphins and toucans, wind through the property. There's a small pool, from which a wooden catwalk leads through the woods to the beach. There's a small restaurant, or neighboring eateries within walking distance. The impressive website makes the place look nicer than it really is.
