Right on the beach, this white, three-story building with Greek columns is centered around a pool deck that features stunning sunset views over the Nicoya Peninsula. The color scheme is white and blue, reminiscent of the owner’s Greek heritage. Rooms underwent a much-appreciated remodeling in 2013, with contemporary tiled bathrooms, quiet air-conditioning, firm mattresses, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Superior rooms have balconies with views of the ocean, and a few of them also have Jacuzzis. Standard rooms on the third floor cost a little bit more, but they are worth it for the ocean view. The best view is from No. 35, with a corner picture window. The restaurant menu ($$–$$$) features Greek-influenced seafood and meat, and some Mexican dishes. Breakfast (included) is buffet style and excellent. Family rooms accommodate up to six people, so it can be noisy, especially during local vacation times. If you’re not traveling with kids, you may want to avoid poolside rooms.
