Before ending up here, owners John and Ellen Lee (he's Australian, she's American) traveled the world and worked in 20 countries. They obviously figured out what travelers love, because their bistro by the beach is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Belize. The Bistro menu changes occasionally, but among the standards you'll go gaga over are five-onion cioppino, mixed seafood in a robust tomato and vegetable stew; ultrafresh ceviche; delicious snapper stack; and cocoa-dusted pork chop on a risotto cake. We weren't thrilled, though, by the new lobster shooters—-who likes to drink lobster-flavored tequila?
