Book NowChabil Mar Villas Review
Chabil Mar means "beautiful sea" in Ketchi Mayan, and the sea and almost 400 feet of beach here are indeed gorgeous at this gated condo development. The villas are tastefully designed and luxuriously furnished, down to wine corkscrews and service for eight. Although each unit is different, they're all upscale, with features such as marble floors, original art, and four-poster king beds. One-bedroom villas start at BZ$600 double in-season, plus 19% tax and service, with a three-day minimum stay. Chabil Mar now has a restaurant and bar for guests only, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A full meal plan is BZ$152 per person including tax and service.

Stayed at Chabil Mar in November of 2011 for seven days. The service and attention to details, along with the beautifully appointed accommodations was just terrific! From the moment I arrived the staff was so attentive and that set the tone for a wonderful relaxing vacation along with many opportunities to explore. They are located just outside of Placencia Village so we could just walk along the beach or take a bike whenever we wanted. We really enjoyed the village too. So friendly, beach bars and some neat restaurants like La Dolce Vita and Rumfish. Loved the gellato at Tutti Fruiti. Back at Chabil Mar we were catered to at the pools, on the beach, on our veranda. We ate a wonderful dinner on their pier. That was awesome by the way.
When we arrived we were greeted with cool lemonade drinks and mint scented towels, flowers and chocolate in our villas and robes in the closet. Towels were decorated with flowers too. This kind of attention just kept going all week. They arranged all of our tours and the guides they chose were just great.
As a landscaper I was especially impressed with their use of the tropical foliage to create such a calming and welcoming sensation. Their gardeners were working constantly on the beach, the flowers and shrubs, the pools. They took nature and used it to their advantage big time. Even multiple topiaries grace the property. Those guys are good.
Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be close to Placencia Village for all of the cultural opportunities there, great service along with a peaceful environment around the Chabil Mar resort. Wish I could vote 5+ for service and atmoshphere.
