Tutti-Frutti Review

Authentic, Italian-style gelato is the thing here, and it's absolutely delicious, the equal of any you'll find in New York, Buenos Aires, or even Rome. Try the tropical fruit flavors, such as banana, lime, coconut, papaya, and mango, or an unusual flavor such as sugar corn, all made from natural ingredients. Beware: You may become addicted and return day after day to sample new flavors. The only negative here is that the owners can be a little less than friendly.

    Tutti Fruitti.. if you must. There is always room for a cool treat in Placencia and that must be why two similar establishments can make it in this tiny town. Especially when the service is only subpar. We went there twice during our stay and we were charged different prices each time, 7bz the first time and 8bz the second. They also do not give samples, which is unheard of for an ice cream shop in my opinion. The gentleman was trying closing up, as it was a little before 9PM, and that may be why he was not very friendly. Although, I must admit the gelato was good, I would recommend supporting Placencia Ice Cream instead.
