At this all-inclusive luxury resort, you can experience the Barrier Reef without having to make decisions more complicated than whether to have fish or steak for dinner. You can frolic on a palm-lined private beach and snorkel, sail, or kayak at your leisure. Kanantik—a Mopan Maya word meaning "to take care"—has air-conditioned cabanas tucked onto 300 acres south of Hopkins. Echoing African themes, the large and luxuriously outfitted cabanas are striking round structures with conical roofs. Everything except motorized fishing and imported liquors is included in the daily rate. Pros: Stunning beachside setting, stress-free all-inclusive. Con: Remote location keeps you isolated from local people and culture.
