Coral House Inn Review

Americans Rick and Darla Mallory renovated this 1938 British colonial–era house and turned it into one of the most pleasant small guesthouses in the country, with breezy views of the Bay of Honduras. Coral House Inn overlooks the bay at the end of Main Street, near the Punta Gorda Hospital. You'll identify the house by coral-color paint and the vintage red VW van parked in front. The five guest rooms have tile floors, comfortable beds, air-conditioning, cable TV, and Wi-Fi. The pick of the accommodations is the charming first-floor suite, formerly the owner's apartment, next door to the main building. There's a swimming pool, an honor bar, and the inn offers complimentary bikes. Just in front of the inn is a historic small cemetery with the graves of three ex-Confederates who move to Toledo after the U.S. Civil War.

    Home in Belize

I have stayed at Rick and Darla's place a dozen times. If you are road weary and just need a place to hang with no pretentious vibe, no crowd and the friendliest hosts I can even imagine stay at the Coral House!
