This small lodge, now again run by Sheila and Rusty Nale, is indeed in a tranquil setting in Jacintoville, about 9 mile (15 km) north of Punta Gorda. Four rooms have air-conditioning, TVs, and Wi-Fi. Two thatch casitas have ceiling fans only. Meals (guests only) are served in a thatched dining room. Some 200 species of birds can be seen on the lodge's 20 acres. A short walk takes you to Jacinto Creek, where there's excellent swimming in a natural swimming hole.
