By Air in The Cayo

Most people bound for the Cayo fly into Belize City, but there are no longer any scheduled flights on to San Ignacio. Many Cayo hotels and lodges have van transportation from both airports in Belize City for about BZ$250-BZ$300 for up to four people, one way. Several hotels run shuttle vans, both for their own guests and for other visitors coming to the Cayo, between Belize City and San Ignacio, for around BZ$60-BZ$70 a person. Among them are Aguada and Cahal Pech Village.

A taxi from the international airport near Belize City to San Ignacio will cost around BZ$180-BZ$250 (for the cab, not per person), depending on your bargaining ability.
