On the Hummingbird Highway near the entrance to the Ring Road, this Chinese-owned motel and restaurant is the newest lodging choice in Belmopan. The 10 rooms on the second floor will make you think you're in an interstate motel in Alabama rather than in Belize's capital, but they're sparkling clean, with tile baths, air-conditioning, cable TV, and in-room phones. The restaurant on the first floor, probably the fanciest in town (which says a lot about Belmopan), serves tasty and inexpensive, if uninspired, Chinese food, mostly Cantonese-style. Pros: Clean rooms; good meal option downstairs. Cons: Not very atmospheric.
