Belize's first truly all-inclusive resort is one of the best values in the Cayo. Once you've taken the short ferry trip across the Mopan River to the resort's manicured palm-studded grounds, you're in your own private bit of paradise, and everything except border fees and site admission charges is included in the price, from meals and drinks to trips to Tikal and Barton Cave, transfers from Belize City, and even tips. A week's stay including everything is BZ$2,925-BZ$3,220 per person. The thatch cabañas have traditional facades, but have modern amenities like cable TVs, air-conditioning, and refrigerators with gratis soft drinks and beer. The swimming pool, lighted by constantly changing fiber-optic lights, provides a romantic setting for a late-night swim. Buffet meals are taken family-style, so you get to know the other guests. Co-owner Pamella Picon is an ordained minister who can marry you in the resort's wedding chapel. Pros: Excellent value in a true All-Inclusive, charming hosts, beautiful grounds. Cons: Not a jungle lodge; location near Benque Viejo town can be noisy.
