Budgeting Your Trip

Here are a range of rates you can expect to pay for selected trips. These charges are per person and usually include transportation, lunch (on full-day trips), and, in the case of river trips, drop-off and pickup. Admission to Mayan sites (usually BZ$10 to BZ$20, except about US$20 at Tikal), border fees (BZ$37.50 to go from Belize to Guatemala), and gratuities to guides are usually extra. On some trips, such as to Tikal or Caracol, there's often a flat fee for one to four persons, so the more going together, the cheaper.
