Ka'ana Boutique Resort and Spa Review

Ka'ana brings a welcome level of luxury to San Ignacio with tranquil gardens, a wine cellar, spacious rooms outfitted with iPod docks, espresso machines, high-end toiletries, and flat-screen TVs. Spendy prices explain the perks—standard rooms start at BZ$714 (including tax and service) for a double, in-season. A casita with king bed is BZ$952. With all the cushy comforts, it is easy to forget you're in Belize. The infinity swimming pool with waterfall uses a saltwater filtration system, avoiding harsh chemicals. The poolside spa offers massage and skin and body treatments. La Ceiba restaurant is beautifully done, serving vegetables from the resort's own organic garden. Try the Cayo lamb shank at BZ$40 or Mennonite pork chops for BZ$56 (prices plus 22.5% service and tax).

    jungle paradise

My 13 year old daughter and I stayed At Ka'ana this past June for a week. Having travelled extensively, and worked for many years in the hospitality industry, I can truly say that Ka'ana is one of the most special places we have ever visited. From the beginning, dealing with patricia in reservations, was a delight. It is often the first encounter that sets the tone-and I knew right away we were in great hands. This was a last minute adventure vaction for us, and Patricia was instrumental in personally arranging our tours, room, etc. All we had to do was arrive! Once at Ka'ana, we were so warmly welcomed and taken care of by the kind&attentive staff. Our room was so comfortable, esp after long days of exploring. The food was fantastic. And Ka'ana was so accomodating-as a single mom with teenage daughter, we were as well looked after asd the honeymoon couples, large families, friends travelling, etc. Thank you for such a magical stay and we look forward to returning soon!
