Belize Jungle Dome Review

This well-appointed small inn near the Belize River has four attractively furnished suites, with tile floors, lots of windows, and an uncluttered look. There's also a standard room, and a three-bedroom villa. (The "dome" is a geodesic dome atop part of the main building.) Meals (for guests only) are served at the poolside terrace or in a small café perched above the pool. Choose from an extensive selection of tours—including caving, cave tubing, horseback riding, and kayaking—or you can just laze by the pool, sip a cold Belikin, watch birds in the huge Guanacaste tree, and listen to the howler monkeys along the river.

    Belize Jungle Dome Review

    My husband and I stayed at the Jungle Dome for the first half of our honeymoon in September 2009. We arranged for a pick-up from the int'l airport (highly recommended since the place is a little far from the Western Highway). We stayed for 5 nights and did the Caracol, cave tubing/zipline and ATM tours. Luis and Emil were amazing guides for these adventures -- throughly knowledgeable about the sites as well as Belize and the Mayan history/culture. The accommodations were roomy and the grounds were immaculate. And the staff was simply amazing -- from the incredible meals prepared and delivered to our veranda every morning and evening, to Karen's help with scheduling the tours and to David's all around helpfulness and friendliness throughout our stay. We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend the Jungle Dome for anyone wanting top-notch service at an "off-the-beaten path" resort.
