Maya Island Airways and Tropic Air operate flights to Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker from both the municipal and international airports in Belize City. Each has hourly service every day to Ambergris Caye between about 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM. In high season, additional flights are added to accommodate demand. Round-trip fares for the 15- to 20-minute flight are about BZ$121 (municipal) and BZ$218 (international). Maya Island often offers a 25% discount if you pay cash rather than use a credit card.
The airstrip on Ambergris Caye is at San Pedro's southern edge. You'll always find taxis waiting at the airstrip, and most hotels run shuttles. If you're proceeding on foot, it's about five minutes to the hotels in town. The airstrip on Caye Caulker is at the island's south end. Hotels may send a golf cart to pick you up. Otherwise, you'll find that golf-cart taxis are available. Whether you arrive in San Pedro by air or by ferry from Belize City, you'll be met by a small crowd of friendly, but pushy, cab drivers touting cheap lodging deals. Note that hotels pay these drivers a commission, which is reflected in the hotel rate. For the best rates call the hotel directly upon your arrival.
There are no scheduled flights to the other cayes, although flights will stop at Caye Chapel on demand.
