The Tides Beach Resort Review

If diving is your reason for being in Belize, and you don't want to spend a ton of money, you couldn't do better than this beachfront hotel at the north end of town, owned by Patojo Paz, one of the island's most experienced dive masters, and his wife. The three-story wood-frame structure recalls a time before everyone built with reinforced concrete. Top picks here are the second- and third-floor oceanfront rooms, which have balconies overlooking the beach. This is one of the island's best values in pricey San Pedro. Suites with kitchens are more expensive. There's a pool. The hotel is at the north edge of town, but you can stroll along the beach to San Pedro's bars and restaurants.

    Great Experience!!!

We stayed here for three nights in April and we loved it! The rooms are spacious, brightly decorated and have small fridges. The staff treated us like family and couldn't have been nicer. We snorkeled and dived with the resort and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The included breakfast was just enough even though it was the same every day. Eggs, toast and juice. The location right on the beach was convenient to everything. The owners go above and beyond in every way. I would recommend The Tides to all kinds of travelers and we will definitely go back.
