Changes In Latitudes Review
Friendly, helpful owners Renita and Cindy have done good things with the only true B&B on the island. The inn is near San Pedro's restaurants and bars, but isn't directly on the beach. Although they're all on the small side, the rooms are clean and attractive. A full breakfast is served in the common room. The owners know the island well and can help arrange any tour or activity.

Quaint, unique, comfortable, extremely friendly, simple and convenient. From Renita teaching you how to feed the Iguanas to Cindy telling Renita to, "land the plane," these welcoming hosts have done you right with the simple stay at Changes. There are no distractions (e.g. television or telephones) which helps you to unwind and rake in the sun and ocean breeze. The breakfast has an island flair with the freshest fruit you'll probably ever eat (you can watch Cindy climb the local coconut tree and chop down the coconuts... just kidding). If you want a change from the ordinary, try Changes In Latitudes will change your attitude (tm).

Just returned from one week at Changes in Latitudes. We booked the trip on-line as a flight-hotel package and were not sure what to expect other than some favorable reviews. Well, those reviews did not do the place justice. The owners, Renita and Cindy, are transplanted midwesterners who welcome you as best friends when you arrive, and from that point on they do all that they can to make sure that your stay is as adventurous or as laid-back as you want. It is concierge service that cannot be surpassed by any resort.
Each day started with a delicious breakfast and ended with a cool Belikin beer in the courtyard. The location is ideal. A few yards from the beach and a short walk to the center of town.
We plan on going back as soon as we can. -

We certainly had a change of atitude as well! This is a great little hotel, just off the beach with a quite courtyard for relazing in the hammock with a good book or to take a nape. To the pool if we wanted activity and a swim up bar. But the biggest asset is the people who run this B&B. They took such good care of us while we were on the island. The breakfast were great and plentiful. The snorkeling with their guid Alphonse was amazing!!! We also took a trip recommended by the owner's who live on site to Lamanai Ruins. This was an amazing education. The rooms were a bit small, but we were rarely in the room.
I would recommend this adventure and this B&B hotel. -

What a great place to stay on this island. So close to town, but far enough away that it is relaxing too. The breakfast each morning was diff...One day "good for you. The next "yummy sweats".
The Inn keepers (Cindy and Renita) scheduled and arranged all our trips snorkeling, fishing, etc. They also had three great books they created in the Kitchen area that were priceless; Maps, Restaurants, Things to Do. We really enjoyed them because they based the creation on guest recommendations not their own...great idea.
The rooms were island decor. They also had private baths and entrances unlike the traditional B&B. In addition they had secure lockers in the just outside the rooms for snorkel/fishing other gear. They have a common area/kitchen that we used to store our food for lunch and dinner's in, although there are so many great places to eat. We didn't eat in much.
They have bikes and golf carts onside for guest use. Great hammocks in the courtyard for quite reading, but then have the pool just a 2 min walk away where we could drink at the swim up bar "Splash" and visit with other tourist and locals.
They only have 6 rooms and because of the great reputation they book up fast so e-mailing ahead (latitudesbelize@yahoo.com) would be ideal, but they do take walk-ins too.
We really enjoyed staying here and give it a 5++ rating. If you want a taste of good food, great personalized service and still be close to town and the beach..This is the place.
