Although in an unusual location, on the back of the lagoon, or "bayside," as it is being called, and a short boat ride away from San Pedro, Brahma Blue has ambitious plans to become one of the most upscale lodging choices on the island. As of this writing, the first phase of the development, a series of condominium units and a restaurant, was complete. The three-bedroom penthouse and two-bedroom condo suites have tile floors, granite countertops, verandas with water views, and deluxe furnishings. The Blue Lotus serves elegantly presented Indian dishes in a stunning, over-the-water setting. Pros: Luxury condos, striking views of San Pedro Town, restaurant with stunning top-of-water location. Cons: Location on the bayside requires boat access, project still under development.
