New in 2007, Belize Legacy enjoys a tranquil if somewhat remote setting over 7 mi (12 km) north of San Pedro. Its immediate neighbors are beach houses. The one- and two-bedroom condo suites, in two-story buildings with dark wood exterior walls, are well-equipped, with full kitchens, satellite TV, DVDs, and Wi-Fi. Pros: Comfortable condo suites at moderate rates, tranquil setting, friendly staff. Cons: If you don't like the on-site restaurant, the closest alternative is a 25-minute walk away; to go into town for dinner requires a BZ$50 per person round-trip water taxi ride.
