Set in an arc on a 5-acre beachfront site, Grand Caribe's 74 luxury condos, in eight three-story, red-tiled-roof clusters, face the sea and a 500-foot stretch of sandy beach. Grand Caribe opened in 2008. The one, two- and three-bedroom suites have Brazilian floor tiles, kitchens with granite countertops and mahogany countertops, and high-quality furnishings. An unusual feature is the long, curving pier with berths for a number of boats. Pros: New luxury condos, all with views of the sea, short bike or golf cart ride to restaurants and to town. Cons: Final phases of project not set for completion until late 2008 or early 2009.
