Fodor's Review:
Deep in the heart of -- no, not Texas, but PV's south side -- is a little-known hotel above a well-known restaurant-bar. Brick-lined rooms are charming although somewhat stuffy in the hot season. A few lucky rooms and suites have wonderful views of the bay and of the town creeping up the adjoining hills. Down the street from the original Andale are eight luxurious apartments ranging from one-bedroom units with single baths ($150) to three-bedroom units with three baths ($500). All have full kitchens, dining rooms, and great views. There's a swimming pool, a bar, and a lounge area as well. Note that the 15% state tax is included in the rate; only the 2% hotel tax is added to your bill at the end of your stay.
