$$$$, Cabo Corrientes Norte
Fodor's Review:
If travelers were animals, Majahuitas's guests would be bears, not butterflies. Eating well and resting are the two top activities. After a 20-minute boat ride you (and, hopefully, your sweetie, as this intimate place doesn't have a singles scene) arrive at a shell-strewn beach where hermit crabs scuttle about seeking larger accommodations. Eight casitas crouch amid jungly plants (and biting bugs; bring repellent) overlooking the tiny cove. Guest rooms are open to the air and have low-wattage lights and tiny, solar-powered fans. It's a romantic place that also happens to be good for families with tots. Older kids, type-A adults, and anyone who doesn't read will be bored.
