Fodor's Review:
This hotel is attractive because of its location: right on the beach and in the midst of Zona Romántica's restaurants, bars, and shops. Though the price is right, both service and quality have slipped in recent years: Some guests have complained of overbooking, furnishings are tired, and tour groups abound. That said, yellow trumpet vines and lacy palms draped in tiny white lights enliven the pool and the bar-restaurant, which has music nightly and a Mexican fiesta on Saturday evening. If you're willing to cross the street, you can get a better deal at Los Arcos Vallarta, or upgrade slightly to Los Arcos Suites, which has larger rooms with kitchenettes; some have balconies, too.
