Chef-owner Marta Ortiz Chapa brings considerable experience and creativity to her nueva cocina mexicana -- she's the author of eight cookbooks on regional Mexican cuisine. Here's your chance to try indigenous produce with a new spin, such as an appetizer of tortitas de huauzontle (a green vegetable) with goat cheese, Parmesan, and a chile pasilla sauce, or a main course of salmon in a maize crust with clams. Portions are kind of small, so it's a good thing that there's a great dessert selection; we recommend the crème brûlée with a carnation-petal jelly. Also look for traditional drinks such as flor de jamaica (hibiscus-flower drink) or, in cold weather, ponche de manzana (apple punch).

What a nice experience this was. I was taken there by a friend who lives in Mexico City who said this is her favorite restaurant. The service is stellar. The food is beatifully presented and excellent. The clientele was trendy and fun. Highly recommended!

Totally dull. Good food but not great, ambience non existant. Terrible location. Just a block away live is thriving. Maybe if they moved...
