The silk-clad staff includes a sake sommelier in this prestigious restaurant in the Hotel Nikko. Kaiseki is the specialty, a series of small, exquisite dishes. Prices are high, but you're getting the best Japanese food in the city.

Excellent food

Benkay continues to have the freshest ingredients of any Japanese restaurants in the country thanks to being part of the Nikko-Japan Airlines group. The restaurant periodically gets bad press for being expensive, or for the service. The Sunday buffet costing $200 is an excellent value.

I´ve lived a couple years in Hawaii and over here the japanese community is huge, therefore you find lots of japanese restaurants. however I found Benkay superior in food quality, service and atmosphere. Í´ve been there several times, and every single time I´ve had an awesome culinary experience.....!
