Fodor's Review:
Despite the high room rates at this ultraprivate pleasure palace, it's often hard to get a reservation. Guests luxuriate in suites with hot tubs, fireplaces, and telescopes for viewing whales or stars. Newer hotels have copied such Ventanas-style touches as handcrafted lamps and doors, inlaid stone floors, and tequila service, but the originator is still the best. Service is sublime, the restaurants are outstanding, and the spa treatments reflect the latest trends. The three spa suites have private spa butlers and in-suite treatments. There's a minimum night stay for weekends depending on the season.

We stayed here on Feb 14th, 2007, it was the best Valentine Ever!! The resort is everything you read about it, service is impeccable, and their effort to be detailed in everthing is incredible. So much detail, that the sand gets combed everyday!!! After staying here, no hotel I have stayed at comes close to earning 5 stars. I would say, that Las Ventanas, as the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai, should be the other 7 star hotel. Some review sites, give Esperanza Hotel a higher rating than Las Ventanas, it is not correct. Esperanza seems very clear that they have tried to copy Las Ventanas, they cannot come close. Las Ventanas service and details are far superior. Both being worth the same, don't think twice about staying in Las Ventanas. We are counting the days on going back.I'd get married all over again...

if I could honeymoon here. Wow! We had a rooftop suite and believe me when I tell you, this place is ultra. So many time you visit resorts you believe will be luxury, and they aren't. Las Ventanas will not disappoint! Poolside services include complimentary lemonade and ice pops, IPODs filled with great music, sunglass cleaning (I'm not kidding)...you name it! The restaurant is great but I was surprised to see they charge $30 for a glass of champagne at the bar. All in all, this place is worth the expense!! Make sure you visit the spa!
