$$$, Zona Hotelera Norte
Fodor's Review:
This romantic boutique hotel has bright and airy rooms facing the ocean or the gardens. Inside the rooms are mirrored niches, wicker and pale-wood furnishings, and sun-filled terraces. None of the rooms have bathtubs, and the best are the corner suites on the upper floors. Small palapas shade lounge chairs on the beach, and you can arrange snorkeling and diving trips at the hotel's own dock. Golf fees are included in the room rates; some guests hit the course daily. A free-standing spa at the hotel's entrance offers body and beauty treatments. The small Chan Ka'an dinner restaurant is a lovely spot for a quiet evening. Make reservations in advance in case there's a reception or other function taking place.
