Part private home and part restaurant, this estate evokes a country hacienda in mainland Mexico. The on-site botanical garden has mango and papaya trees, and a small zoo with caged birds. The setting, with tables lining the veranda, outshines the food. Stalwart fans rave about huge platters of fajitas and grilled fish. It's out of the way, so you'll need to take a cab.

We came back this year to celebrate our son's highschool graduation and this restaurant is the tops! We had 10 new grads with us and the Casa Mission never fails to disappoint! We'll be back next year to celebrate something else!
Thanks so much!! Julie, David, Charlie and the gang

We Continue to Return

The restaurant was suggested by a friend. My husband and I have returned to dine there the three times we have returned to Cozumel. Alberto and his wife are lovely hosts and the food is fresh, delicious, and very reasonably priced. Sadly, the lions are no longer there. We will be going to Cozumel again this year to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and plan to have our anniversary dinner there.

A good place to turn 40

We celbrated my 40th birthday at this restaurant! It was a delight! the food was delicious! I hab lobster and my husband had steak. I was very inexpensive and the atmosphere was lovely. It was quiet and elegant (for Mexico) and the local musicians were charming. The staff was great and the service couldn't have been better. They also gave me a little cake with a candle. It was very enjoyable and I think it's a true treasure on the island.

You won't be disappointed

I worked on a cruise line that made weekly stops here for over a year. After sampling many of Cozumel's dining offerings, both well known and out of the way, La Casa Mission is the one place that I would recommend above all others. The atmosphere is very unique and pleasant. The service is excellent and the food was very good. Ordering sexy coffee is a must! Very impressive presentation. This place is definitely worth the cost of the taxi ride to get there.
