That Beach: The entire planet should look like this. A long, thin stretch of beach with a lagoon on one side and the blue Caribbean on the other is everyone's idea of perfect. The sand is even whiter and softer than in pictures, and the water is always warm. The beaches facing the Bahía de Mujeres (on the northern part of the Zona Hotelera) are best for swimming.
Legendary Nightlife: We're not here to judge. We know that when you come to Cancún, you come to party. Sure, if you want fine dining and dancing under the stars, you'll find it here. But if your tastes run more toward bikini contests, all-night chug-a-thons, or cross-dressing Cher impersonators, rest assured: Cancún delivers.
Fantastic Seafood: A lot of the Mexican food we get in the States is heavy on the meat. Not here. Cancún's Caribbean location doesn't go to waste, and fresh seafood is served up in a million fantastic ways. Whether you're having a romantic beachside dinner or a quick lunch, you'll enjoy something delicious.
Markets and Malls: When you need an air-conditioned break from the beach, you can always go shopping. Many of Cancún best bars, clubs, and restaurants are in high-end malls, so you might as well get a little retail therapy before eating and drinking. Although many malls have stores that you might see at home, upscale spots like La Isla Shopping Village and Plaza Kukulcán also have trendy European chains. If you're looking for something a little more local, visit one of the many crafts markets in El Centro for unique souvenirs.
