$$-$$$$, Latin American, New City
Fodor's Review:
Small stone pedestals containing hot coals warm the dining room, so even on a chilly day you needn't pass up this charming restaurant serving authentic Guatemalan fare. Choose from platters of robalo, steak, or pork, all served with a variety of savory condiments like fresh salsa, pickled carrots, and jalapeños. The attentive, exuberant servers bring endless baskets of warm tortillas, but try not to fill up -- the truly incomparable caramel flan shouldn't be missed. To top off the experience, mariachi bands stroll through the place on most evenings.
