$-$$, American, Golfito
Fodor's Review:
For consistently good American-style food, you can't beat this breezy marina restaurant with a view of expensive yachts and fishing boats. Locals complain that the prices are high, but portions are hefty, and include generous salads, interesting pastas, excellent chicken fajitas wrapped in homemade tortillas, and a delicious grilled dorado fish sandwich with a mountain of fries -- a deal at $7. Jumbo shrimp, for which the town's commercial fleet is famous, are expensive at $15, but worth it. While you're waiting for your order, check your e-mail at their high-speed Internet café, or take advantage of the Wi-Fi. It's open for breakfast, too.
