Bahía Esmeralda Hotel & Restaurant

Fodor's Review:

Although it's not on the beach, this Italian-run hotel has lots of style at an affordable price. It's a great place for families or groups. Ochre-colored villas are spread out around a pretty pool in a sunny, mature garden. Large, glass doors bring in lots of light, and clay-tile roofs keep things cool. The well-equipped apartments ($$) are for four, six, or eight people. All accommodations have handsome, modern fabrics and elegantly Italian bathrooms tiled in cool green. An alfresco restaurant serves breakfast and light Italian dishes. The friendly owner-manager is always on the premises. It's a five-minute walk through the village to the beach.
