Not merely a bustling café-bar, this Cayo institution also acts as an Internet café, bulletin board, information center, trading post, tour center, and meeting place. In addition to the bacon, eggs, and sandwiches, Eva's serves authentic Belizean fare. The food may not always be as good as at some other restaurants in town, but the atmosphere makes up for it. Mugs of wickedly strong black tea are always available, along with copious quantities of Belikin. Presiding over the colorful chaos is Bob Jones, a garrulous British ex-serviceman, who can divulge information about anything from canoe rental to what to do if you get bitten by a fer de lance.
