Fodor's Review

At this splendid museum, you can learn about the story of Wales through its archaeology, art, and industry. The Evolution of Wales gallery uses inventive robotics and audiovisual effects. There's a fine collection of modern European art, including works by Daumier, Renoir, Van Gogh, and Cézanne. Kids, however, will be more interested by the enormous, 9-meter (29-foot) skeleton of a humpback whale that washed ashore near Cardiff in 1982.
