Overlooking the Severn Estuary, this extraordinary bed-and-breakfast is one of the most romantic places to stay in Wales. Owners Frank and Danielle Sheahan spent a decade renovating the nearly 200-year-old structure. The wedge-shape bedrooms (arranged around a wishing well) are filled with natural light. Some have four-posters; one even has a waterbed. Take in the sweeping views of the surrounding countryside from your room, or enjoy the whole vista from the rooftop hot tub. Danielle is a qualified Reiki therapist and offers treatments from massage to sessions in the floatation tank. Those who don't mind roughing it might enjoy the Mongolian yurt on the grounds. The lighthouse is a 10-mile drive northeast of Cardiff.
