Ty Gwyn

Ty Gwyn Review

This coaching inn, built in 1636, is one of the best places to eat in Snowdonia. The food is traditional Welsh fare, beautifully prepared with local ingredients. Standouts include steak with cream of Stilton cheese and coriander, or lobster with a prawn and crayfish thermidor. Vegetarians are well cared for with such dishes as Thai-style vegetable curry with fresh lime and chili. The inn also has simple, cozy bedrooms starting at £30 per night.
