Sports and the Outdoors

Offa's Dyke Path. There are easy walks along the banks of the River Dee or along part of the Offa's Dyke Path, which passes through hills, river valleys, and lowlands. This 177-mile-long National Trail follows the line of an ancient earthen wall, still surviving in parts, which was built along the border with England in the 8th century by King Offa of Mercia to keep out Welsh raiders.
