Gunlüklü Beach

Gunlüklü Beach Review

If you get overheated on the main road between Göcek and Fethiye, and need an antidote to the relentless fashionability of Göcek, follow the brown sign south to Gunlüklü Beach. It's a good place to stop for a picnic in a forest of small chestnut trees or to take a swim from a dark sand beach in the unspoiled bay. In season, a shop down by the beach sells basic food. Be forewarned, though: the beach tends to get crowded on weekends with Turkish day-trippers from Fethiye, and the facilities can be a bit rough and ready. The sand is darker than at other Turkish beaches.
