Medusa Hotel Review

This is probably the best-run of the generally good hotels that line the seafront road east of the harbor, particularly after remodeling in 2009. Rooms are small, but most have views and are well-maintained. The hotel has both a pool and its own waterfront terrace over the rocks with platforms from which to swim in the sea. You can count on the managers—a lively archaeologist from Belgium and his Turkish wife, whose parents own the hotel—for the best advice on which ancient sites to see. The restaurant is worth a visit in its own right, being reasonably priced and serving unusual Turkish-Ottoman food like lamb fillet with cheese sauce.
