Side Müzesi (Side Museum)

Fodor's Review

Across the street from the agora, the Side Müzesi is housed in a restored 5th- or 6th-century AD Roman bath. The collection of Roman statues is small but interesting; a gorgeous group of marble torsos includes the Three Graces, various cherubs, a brilliant satyr, and a bust of Emperor Hadrian, alongside the usual smattering of inscriptions, amphorae, columns, and sarcophagi, plus a Roman sundial. The sculpture garden behind the museum is larger than the museum itself and overlooks the Mediterranean.
