This pretty beach is a quieter option to busy Ölüdeniz. An amphitheater of mountains encloses an offshore island with scattered with Byzantine remains dating from the 7th to the 9th centuries AD. Although the island is close, it's best visited by the day cruises from Fethiye or Ölüdeniz, though you might find someone with a boat willing to take you out. Many buses to Kaya continue on to the beach in summer, or you can just drive down the road past Kaya until the end.
