Fodor's Expert Review Anadolu Restaurant

$$ Antakya (Antioch) Turkish

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

Although service can be a little slow and the modern roof over the garden is unattractive, locals still flock to this 100-year-old house--turned--library--turned--billiards hall--turned restaurant. While here, they dine on savory mezes, popular regional dishes such as et şato (minced meat with cheese) or kağıt kebabı (meat and vegetables wrapped in thin bread), and, for dessert, künefe (a roaringly popular---and intensely rich---pastry made with cheese and nuts).
